Automatic recognition and analysis of planetary surface features

Together with the Europlanet activity GMAP, various science cases dealing with the automatic detection and classification of planetary surface features will be studied.

The following GMAP science cases were proposed:

• Automatic detection and classification of mounds on Mars

• Landform classification and mapping using Machine Learning / Deep Learning on RAW and pre-processed data sets

• Planetary Surface Feature Detection with Machine Learning
